Corporate America Advances Goal 16
Tuesday, September 24 | 3pm – 5pm | Rockefeller Plaza, 1 Rockefeller Plaza
The National Legal Aid and Defender Association (NLADA) has a long history of working with the business community through its Corporate Advisory Committee (CAC). Founded in 1992, the CAC institutionalizes corporate America’s dedication to the principle of equal justice under the law and explores the ways in which the corporate sector can help ensure the availability of legal representation to low-income people in our nation. In July, NLADA released its most recent policy brief – Access to Justice is Good for Business – describing the ways that the business community advances Goal 16’s call for equal access to justice. Join us as we hear from CAC leaders from AT&T, Ford Motor Company, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, PayPal, and VISA on how they prioritize and advance access to justice.
