What We Do

The Pathfinders initiative focuses on accelerating efforts to overcome three challenges: injustice, violence, and inequality and exclusion. By fostering peaceful, just, and inclusive societies, the Pathfinders hope to enable a world that is free of fear and violence.

Peace

The Grand Challenge on Halving Global Violence is spearheaded by a Task Force composed of high-level political representatives, civil society leaders, and international experts. Their ambition is to mobilize action to realize SDG16.1 and other peace-related SDG targets by 2030. Learn more about how the Halving Global Violence Task Force and its flagship initiatives, Peace in Our Cities, and the Gender Equality Network for Small Arms Control are working to increase political will to reduce violence and build peaceful communities across the world:

Justice

The Pathfinders’ Grand Challenge on Justice acts as an impact hub, bringing together countries, civil society, and multilateral organizations to close the justice gap. SDG16+

In an increasingly uncertain world, we aim to show SDG16+ for what it is: a credible, accessible, universal, and necessary set of tools to begin to get our world back on track. As we work towards the SDG Summit in 2023, as well as achieving the various milestones in between, we will continue to make the case for, galvanize greater action on, and accelerate the delivery of SDG16+ and its targets on peace, justice, and inclusion.
