A Closer Look at the SDGs Under Review and SDG16: Peace, Justice, Inclusion and Partnerships as Drivers of Change

Organized by the Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies at NYU Center on International Cooperation (CIC), UNDESA, International Cooperatives Alliance, Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), and Peace in our Cities, this event took place on Friday, July 10, 2026 during the sidelines of the 2026 High-level Political Forum in New York at the United Nations Headquarters.

This cross-regional and cross-stakeholder Voluntary National Review (VNR) Lab highlighted the intersection of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) under review and SDG16, with additional views on how cooperatives and a multistakeholder approach advance sustainable change.

This interactive dialogue included global perspectives and specific insights from Norway, Tunisia, United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), OHCHR, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (UNDPPA)-Peacebuilding and Peace Support Office (PBSO), International IDEA, International Cooperatives Alliance, and Peace in Our Cities.
