“Politics, prices, and inequality: How to address inequality during an inflation crisis" The Launch of the Alliance for Action on Inequality and Division (AAID)

At this high-level event at the Annual Meetings of the World Bank and IMF, a new Alliance for Action on Inequality and Division (AAID) was launched – providing a forum in which to discuss the major challenges of food insecurity, the cost-of-living crisis, and how this is intertwining with financial, political, and climate crises, as well as demonstrate that countries are coming together to consider policy solutions.

The aim of the AAID will be to give new profile and impetus to the urgent need to combat all forms of inequality and exclusion and bring new energy and purpose to the drive to make our world a more equal and harmonious place.

The Alliance will enable its members to find evidence for action and allies across the world, with whom they can join forces to promote equality, inclusion, and unity, supporting and showcasing positive national innovations and coming together in different regional and international events, joint public initiatives, and practical policy processes.
