  • National Practices in the Localisation of SDG16+: Lesson Learned towards a more Transformative Global Policy

    Margaret Williams, SDG16+ Associate Director at the Pathfinders will speak at this informal discussion among development experts within Member States, the UN and civil society on the ways in which various stakeholders operationalise SDGs and identify ways in which the global policy processes can support SDG localisation efforts. The goal of the discussion is to identify concrete entry points in global policy to support localisation needs of governments and the people.

  • Turning the Tide: Scaling SDG 16 for the Future, Reinforcing Access to Justice, and Advancing Democracy

    Ambassador Martin Kimani, Executive Director at the NYU Center on International Cooperation will moderate this panel, hosted by the US to showcase their strategic support for United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16—to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels—as a critical foundation to strengthen democracy and economic prosperity at home and abroad.
