Statement on Behalf of the Justice Action Coalition at the 80th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations

On October 8th, 2025, Ms. Lucy Solano, Counselor – Legal Adviser at the Permanent Mission of Colombia to the United Nations in New York, delivered a statement on behalf of the Justice Action Coalition at the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly’s 6th Committee. The statement emphasized the critical importance of people-centered access to justice under SDG 16.3, calling for increased investment in community-based justice mechanisms, improved data collection to understand justice needs, and sustainable financing to ensure justice systems are accessible and effective for all, particularly marginalized populations.
