GLOBAL VIOLENCE

Leading the international mobilization to halve global violence by 2030 is a high-level political Task Force made up of an exceptional and diverse group of ‘architects’, who aim to:

help shape the global debate on violence reduction;
-
stimulate action-oriented research;
-
garner increased political capital and stimulate higher levels of investment in evidence-based policies;
-
and provide political, strategic and thought leadership.
Co-Chairs:
The Halving Global Violence Task Force Co-chairs are ministerial level Member State representatives with a history of support and deep experience in violence reduction efforts and debates. They provide high-level political leadership and strategic direction to the efforts to halve violence by 2030, inspiring leaders to make ambitious commitments to elevate SDG16.1. Each Co-Chair brings the regional and thematic expertise needed to drive transformative change and measurable progress in violence reduction.
